Tablet-based booking system for meeting rooms

*NEW* App now displays dates according to the system date format - Thanks everyone for the feedback!Want to use a meeting room but not sure if someone else has it booked? We developed this app as a quick and simple visual solution. The app connects a calendar to a device mounted on the wall outside the meeting room. The device glows green when the room is vacant and red when its been booked. When in green mode, it displays the date/time of the next upcoming booking. When in red mode it displays the current booking name, duration of booking and attendees. The app has been designed to be displayed on a tablet outside a meeting room attached to a wall, however wed love to hear what other uses people come up with. Our initial development was done with a Nexus 7 in mind, however it should scale to fit most devices. The application can display the details of any Google Calendar that the device has access to (only one at a time).Feedback and Feature Requests can be given at https://bitbucket.org/GLiNTECH/android-meeting-room-calendarv.1.2.0 (Mar 2015)- Display dates in system formatv.1.1.1 (Mar 2014)- Display calendar name in main screenv1.0.5 (November 2013)-Support for Android 4.4 KitKat-Able to view upcoming meetings while a meeting is in progressv1.0.4 (August 2013)- Two menu items added (Configure Calendars, Email Feedback)- Refresh button to manage synchronization (adding/removing) of calendars- Tidier welcome screen for handling exceptions (i.e. when no calendar app or calendar is configured)

Have this sitting on a tablet next to my computer. Shows my immediate agenda. Very useful!

Refresh Interval missing and cannot tilt the tablet.

Installed this on the Nexus 7 tablets outside our 6 meeting rooms. It works flawlessly and makes it very easy to tell what's going on in each room. I would highly recommend this to anyone else looking to have digital meeting room displays without spending a ton of money.

This app looks nice, but there is no way to change the date format. So if you are in the USA your February 10, 2015 appointment looks like an October 2, 2015 instead. It should show 2/10/2015 instead it shows 10/2/2015. And there is no way to change this in the software. If your date format is day/month/year, then this app is great. If not, it will not work for you period.

I really like the simplicity of this app. It's not as customizable as the others but it's honest. Similar apps are designed to request a license after the fact. If you have to submit a web form for a quote you know its going to be a lot. A few things worth noting: 1. In the photo Meeting 1 and Meeting 2 are the calendar item subjects. On a Room mailbox you might have to request your exchange admin to enable subject text or else it will show up as the creators name. That is exchange's default for room mailboxes. It is changed via a script in exchange management console. Google it. 2. In the red photo "Service Account" is the calendar item creators name. A few recommendations: 1. Go for a Pro Version! Add some features like changing the background to an image or different colors, fonts, adding a logo, changing the template or some different emblems for busy and free. 2. Incorporate a lock screen function. Like a pass code to unlock the tablet so people can't mess with it. Similar apps exist but don't always work in portrait view. 3. A full screen where you hide the bar that displays the time, wifi and battery. Also hide the bar that displays the back, home and options buttons.
